Hi mates! Here is Gonçalo. I'm writing this post to share my experience in the Comenius Project, that our school embraced this past November. The idea for this project came from the need to find goals to save our planet against its own main concerns, like poorness or environmental problems and it has been made in Anselmo de Andrade since 1996. Besides that, it is about making friends and sharing cultures among being with foreign students from european countries such as France, Greece, Turkey, Italy and Poland. You can learn more about this by visiting
this blog. These people came to Portugal and stayed with us in Almada for a week and a half and I got the lucky chance to accomodate Kaan, a turkish 16 year old tall guy that sonly became a friend of mine, as well as a friend of my classmates.

Almada's meeting was a great experience for me and for my knowledge and it has left me a very positive feedback. Being part of this project was and still is a challenge, but at the same time, an opportunity to have fun, laugh and, above all, make friends that last for a living. I will never regret having had such a full and tiring week and a half because I loved every second of it. It was the first time for me in this kind of projects and I really couldn't have asked for anything better. We met two turkish people, a french guy, four greeks and five polish girls and friendship had began to form by their arrival. It was inexplicable and we had a very good amount of activities to join in. Besides the fact that we didn't have the chance to go to Lisbon with the school due to the weather and to the strike, I can't describe any negative aspects from this experience. Even the teachers got along with each other and the students brought things from their countries! It was one of the best things in my life and I hardly hope to visit a foreign country and go through this again. I just love the whole cultural diversity environment and since our project is all about what we can do to save the world, I can't wait to be a part of that once more.
I hope you are okay, Kaan. It was very nice to be with you and we all miss you a lot. Thank you again for all your wonderful presents and for the great company and sharing you gave me.
My best wishes to you and for everybody else!
